UP library has developed a bookmarklet allowing users quicker access to resources via non-traditional access routes.
For example:
You are searching for material on Google, and one of the results is a relevant article - but you need a subscription to access the article. You will normally copy and paste the details and search for the article in one of our databases.
With a bookmarklet, you can simply click on the bookmarklet and it will envoke the UP Portal login whereafter you will have access to the article.
This feature is only available on subscribed content - if we do not subscribe to the journal you retrieved, access will not be granted.
So what is a bookmarklet?
Bookmarklets are code (scripts) to bookmark URLs in a web browser providing one-click functionality.
